West Hartford resident Alexandra Wendorff ’16, a senior at Northwest Catholic High School, has been named a Scholar in the National Hispanic Recognition program. The program recognizes about 5,000 of the highest-scoring students from over 250,000 Hispanic/Latino juniors who took the PSAT/NMSQT in October 2014.

Wendorff is member of the National Honor Society and has been involved in the school’s Book Club. She has also been a contributor to Passages, the school’s newspaper, was a member of the Northwest Catholic Relay for Life team and serves as part of the Executive Board of the Freshman Contact program. She was also a member of the school’s volleyball team for 3 years.

Since 1961, Northwest Catholic’s mission has been to educate the whole person: mind, body, spirit, and soul. Enrollment for the Class of ’20 is now under way, and prospective students are invited to the Open House at Northwest Catholic on October 25, 2015.
