The Class of 2020 Parent Leadership Training Institute (PLTI) recently graduated 21 new parent leaders.

The 20-week rigorous program, offered through the Bridge Family Center, combines advocacy, leadership and citizenship skills into a curriculum to foster the best interests of children. Participants learned how they can impact the political system and become effective advocates for children.

This year’s class exemplified commitment and fortitude as they conducted their last 11 weeks of training virtually.

PLTI is a program of the Connecticut Commission on Women, Children, and Seniors. It is sponsored by the Bridge Family Cener with funding support from the State Education Resource Center and the Liberty Bank Foundation.
