West Hartford’s Hall/Conard girls hockey team defeated East Catholic 2-1 in overtime on Friday night.

After defeating Avon for the third time this season on Wednesday night to advance to the CCC finals at Trinity College on Friday night, No. 2 seed Hall/Conard defeated top-seeded East Catholic 2-1 in overtime.

Hall/Conard freshmen, Piper Royer (#3) was the lone scorer in the regulation. Her goal came in the first period.

Junior Maddie Bean (#25) junior scored off a rebound in front of net by Paige Sweeney (#5) to win it in overtime.

Hall/Conard will host Avon on Monday night at Veterans Memorial Rink for the fourth time this season (and the third time in three weeks), for a chance to move on to the second round CIAC state tournament.
