Three men involved in the robbery of Coastal Tool at 571 New Park Ave. in West Hartford were apprehended by police a short time after the incident, West Hartford Police Capt. Eric Rocheleau said.
Police received a call about a possible robbery at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Merchandise, with a total value of $1,460, had been stolen from Coastal Tool, and a witness told police that the thieves fled in a white Toyota Corolla and was able to provide the license plate. According to police, the witness said the getaway car was occupied by three adult males.
The Coastal Tool employees were not injured in the incident, police said.
The Greater Hartford Regional Auto Theft Task Force located the vehicle a short time later, Rocheleau said, and the three men were taken into custody without incident with the assistance of Hartford Police. The stolen merchandise was recovered as well.
Police have identified two of the men involved in the incident: Nicardo Brown, 33, of Albany Avenue in Hartford, and Steven Reynolds, 60, of Grant Street in Bridgeport.

He was also released on $10,000 non-surety bond and given a court date of Oct. 21, but subsequently charged with on an outstanding Failure to Appear PRAWN from Vernon and ordered held on a court-set surety bond of $5,000 for that case.
The third suspect did not cooperate when police attempted to identify him. According to Rocheleau, he will face charges of robbery, interfering, and larceny.
