The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s will be held Sunday, Oct. 1 at Rentschler Field. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the Walk ceremonies starting at 9 a.m.
As a statewide organization, the Alzheimer’s Association provides programs and services to help those impacted by Alzheimer’s and related dementias. In Connecticut alone, more than 75,000 individuals are living with Alzheimer’s and are being cared for by over 177,000 caregivers. We have a 24/7 help line, provide care consultations, offer support groups, facilitate programs for individuals in the early stage of the disease, and provide community education and professional training.
The Alzheimer’s Association is a nonprofit organization. It relies on the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations to meet the increasing need for quality Alzheimer’s programs and services. The Connecticut Chapter provides hundreds of help line calls, performs Care Consultations and many Educational Programs where over 150 people attended from all over the state. All of these services are provided free of charge to the community.
On Oct. 1, thousands will walk at Rentschler Field in East Hartford.
To register your team, go to alz.org where you will find the Hartford walk.
The vision is a World without Alzheimer’s.
