The Golden Thread Gallery opened its latest exhibition, “Rhythm & Blues,” with an Artist Reception on Saturday, May 16.
Rhythm & Blues is our 5th and final exhibit in our “YIN & YANG: A SEASON OF CONNECTION & BALANCE” season. Rhythm & Blues includes a diverse and compelling selection of work from 17 artists from as far India and a close as West Hartford, CT. While our exhibit tells many stories of our theme it clearly shows the connection of music and the visual arts and the transformative power both have in our lives.
The Golden Thread Gallery, with the mission of connecting the human spirit through the arts, began presenting meaningful work in 2013. The Golden Thread Gallery exhibits professional and emerging artists from various backgrounds and welcomes all mediums, all cultures and religions. By displaying a collection of various perspectives on a common theme, we reveal how art can creatively illustrate the diversity of the human condition. Our name, The Golden Thread, represents the invisible, underlying connection that weaves together the spirit of humanity – through the arts. To date we have had over 200 artists from all over the world present their work at the gallery.
The gallery is located at 303 Tunxis Road in West Hartford, CT. Gallery Hours are Wednesdays 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Thursdays noon-6 p.m., and Saturdays 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
