No one was injured in a Monday morning collision between a school bus and a vehicle at the intersection of Mohegan Drive and Brewster Road in West Hartford, but the driver of the bus was cited for a stop sign violation, police said.
West Hartford Police said that the bus, a 2009 Chevy Express which was being driven by Ramon Ramirez, 38, of Hartford, was heading west on Brewster Road.
According to Capt. Jeff Rose, the bus drove through the stop sign at the intersection and collided with a 2003 Subaru Forester being driven by Gayatri Mene, 39, of West Hartford, that was heading south on Mohegan Drive.
There is a posted stop sign on Brewster Road but not on Mohegan Drive, police said.
The accident occurred at 7:13 a.m.
There were four passengers on the school bus, two juveniles and their para-professionals.
Damage to both vehicles was minor and with the folding entry door on the bus smashed and some damage to the left front portion of the vehicle, police said.
Police issued Ramirez an infraction for the right-of-way stop sign violation.
