A bus carrying students from Hebrew High School of New England collided with a car on Simsbury Road just before 3 p.m. Friday, West Hartford Police said.
According to police, the bus was headed west on Simsbury Road when it rear-ended a passenger car.
Students were on the bus, but were not injured, police said.
The driver of the vehicle “complained of neck pain,” according to police, but was not taken to the hospital.
Traffic was briefly restricted in the area, police said. Both the passenger car and the bus were damaged and towed from the scene.
Neither the driver of the bus nor the driver of the vehicle were identified by police.
The bus driver was given a ticket for following too closely.
