West Hartford Animal Control was notified Wednesday about an unwelcome intruder – a snake that was found inside a home on Forest Hills Drive in West Hartford.

Animal Control Officer Helen Lee removed the snake from the residence. She said the snake is an Albino King.

It is not native to the area and is assumed to be a pet, Lee said, although not the pet of the residents of the Forest Hills Drive home where it was found.

Lee said the snake appears to have somehow snuck into the house.

Lee said that the snake is currently being housed at The New Children’s Museum on Troutbrook Drive in West Hartford.

Anyone who has information about the owner of the snake is asked to call West Hartford Animal Control at 860-523-2018.
