Nine-year-olds, Sofia Ferraro and Abby Brunjes and 8-year-old, Toby Suplita are diligently preparing for their roles in the Newington Children’s Theatre Company (NCTC), upcoming one-act production of Supercomics, Nov. 18-20. Sofia is playing “Commissioner Jordan,” Abby is playing “Marty ‘Emcee’ Chuzzlewitz,” and Toby is playing “Bernie.”

Everything in Comedyville was a laugh-riot until Vlad the Exhaler unleashed his dastardly plan to rid the town of its sense of humor. In these darkest days of Comedyville, a team of superheroes emerged who pledged to fight for truth, justice, and the hilarious way of life. This is the story of these mighty warriors.

Come see if this bizarre group of superheros can bring back the laughter to Comedyville! Sofia, Abby and Toby are joined by a dozen area youth as they bring this comedy to life on the NCTC stage, located at 743 North Mountain Rd. in Newington. Performances are Nov. 18-20 (Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.). All tickets are $10. Purchase tickets online at www.NCTCArts.org, or by calling 860.666.NCTC.
