School’s out for summer, and outdoor pools in three West Hartford parks opened on Monday, June 21.
Eisenhower Park’s pool was also slated to open, but a leak was discovered and the pool will be closed until further notice.
“We did discover leak at Eisenhower and are assessing what repairs are needed,” Town Manager Matt Hart said at Tuesday night’s Town Council meeting. Leisure Services camps as well as swim lessons that had been scheduled to take place at Eisenhower have been relocated to Fernridge Park, Hart said.
All three pools that are open – Beachland Park, Fernridge Park, and Kennedy Park – offer public swim sessions as well as adult swim and are open weekdays from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Open swim and adult swim hours vary by location, and details can be found here.
Information about purchasing outdoor pool passes can be found here.

Splash pads are also open at Beachland Park, Fernridge Park, and Kennedy Park, as well as at Wolcott Park, and do not require a pass for use.
