Students in the Advanced ESL Class in the West Hartford Adult Education Program asked to visit Mark Twain’s House after reading essays that he wrote in defense of Chinese immigrants in 1877. On March 25, 2024, they toured the house after also reading excerpts from Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer.

West Hartford Adult Education Program Facilitator Caren Dickman shared the above photo. Students pictured are from Argentina, China, Columbia, Japan, South Korea, and Sudan.
