Following the success of the inaugural “Fine Art Festival” in 2021, the West Hartford Art League will host the second annual version of the event on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 24 and 25, on the grounds of its Buena Vista Road campus.

This year’s festival will showcase the works of 40 Connecticut artists, working in a variety of mediums including painting, photography, pottery, stained glass, drawing, and more.

The work will be on exhibit, and for sale, under tents set up on the parklike grounds.

Admission is free and open to all. The festival hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m on Saturday, Sept. 24, and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, and will be held rain or shine.

Food trucks will also be available both days, including the Paul and Vinnie’s food truck (owned by Carbone’s) and Lobster Tails. The Whimsically Tipsy truck will be there both days serving libations, including craft cocktails from their vintage VW Bus Bar.

Other highlights, according to West Hartford Art League Executive Director Roxanne Stachelek, will give children a chance to paint each day from noon-2 p.m. in the “Kids Corner.” Live music will include performances by Heather McLarney on on Saturday from noon-2 p.m. followed by Bill Benson on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and Mama Train! on Sunday from noon-2 p.m.

The parking lot at the West Hartford Art League will be closed to vehicles during the festival, but attendees can park on Buena Vista Road or in the lot at Solomon Schechter Day School across the street.

The West Hartford Art League appreciates the support of all of its sponsors, including presenting sponsors, The Arnold and Sandra Chase Foundation and J. Boswell Team at Keller Williams Legacy Partners.
