The approximately 200 people who attended the Third Annual “Taste of Elmwood” on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, definitely came with appetites – and happily devoured nearly every morsel of food that area restaurants brought for them to sample.
Brisket, chicken Tikka Masala, macaroni and cheese, pizza, and wings were some of the savory offerings, with cupcakes, cookies, and scones among the delights for the those with a sweet tooth.
Participants included Bombay Olive, Classic Cakes, Corner Pug, Elmwood Pizza & Grinders, Fernwood Restaurant, Hartford Baking Company, and Sliders Bar & Grill, with libations served up by Two Pour Guys.
During the event, the monthly “WeHa Mag” show filmed an upcoming episode as roving reporters Tom Hickey, Barbara Lerner, and Ronni Newton spoke with guests and participants. The show will be broadcast on WHC-TV. Check the listings on the WHC-TV website by clicking here for scheduled dates.
Taste of Elmwood was a fundraiser for the Elmwood Business Association as well as Saint Brigid School. where the event was held.
Sponsors for the event were Jerry’s Artarama and J.P. Carroll Construction. Other sponsors included the Elmwood Business Association, Taylor Rental Party Plus, West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, We-Ha.com, and West Hartford Magazine. Merchant Solutions provided ticket sales support.
