West Hartford Fall Festival Winners Announced

Happy Halloween, and thanks for voting for your favorite pumpkin and scarecrow!

You visited and you voted for your favorite scarecrow in West Hartford Center and your favorite pumpkin in Blue Back Square, and we say thank you to all who participated! Just about 100 people took the time to vote in our survey, but several hundred, if not thousands, viewed the festive displays created by students from Saint Brigid School and the many other volunteers and organizations that helped make it happen.

All of the kids did a great job, but the scarecrow with the most votes was the lovely “Rosie/Jewelry!” by the SBS 4th Grade, located at DeRobertis Jewelers on LaSalle Road.

Noam LaBella, of Umi Sushi+Tapas, sculpted her winning pumpkin for a festive and authentic display at Blue Back Square’s destination for Kaiten-style sushi served via a conveyor belt.
