[Updated] West Hartford Police Arrest Suspect in Connection with Stabbing Incident

[Updated, Aug. 15, 2017] A victim was stabbed in West Hartford Monday evening.

West Hartford Police said Monday night that a woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing on Hillcrest Avenue.

According to police, officers responded to a complaint of a stabbing, believed to be in connection with a domestic dispute, at 113E Hillcrest Ave. just before 6 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival they discovered a suspect and victim in the courtyard of the apartment building.

Police took the suspect, Naomi Williams-Wall, 34, into custody.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was transported to a local hospital, police said, and is expected to survive.

Police said Tuesday morning that the victim has been released.

Williams-Wal has been charged with criminal attempt at murder, first-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor, and second-degree breach of peace. She is being held on $500,000 bond and due in court on Tuesday.
