The West Hartford Police Department will be hosting its first ever Penguin Plunge in support of Special Olympics CT!

The event, which had been scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 1, in the Town Hall parking lot, has been postponed due to expected inclement weather. It will be held at some time in the near future.

The public will be invited to cheer on the officers as they embrace the frigid water of the mobile plunge pool in support of a great cause.  If you would like to donate to this fundraiser, please see the link below which will take you to the fundraiser page. You can donate to the cause as a whole or scroll to the bottom and donate on behalf of an officer already registered to participate.

Since the council decided that Weha will participate in the age of Republican fascism with the total monitoring of our comings and goings by car, it’s high time we reduce the size of the PD as one of their main reasons for being – traffic law enforcement – is being outsourced to the eye of Sauron.
