The Community Relations Division of the West Hartford Police Department offers car seat inspections every Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

If you would like to have one of our certified technicians inspect your car seat please call 860-570-8820 between 8 and 8:30 a.m. on the Wednesday you would like to come in. We ask that you try to install the seat prior to seeing us in order to get familiar with the seat.

At your appointment our officers will ensure the seat is properly fitted and will teach you the proper way to install them. A safety recall check will be done as well.

All questions will be answered regarding proper fit and recommendations for the child as they grow.

Most car seat appointments last less than 15 minutes, so please don’t hesitate to see us.
