West Hartford Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene of an overnight crash on Park Road.

According to Capt. Jeff Rose, police received several calls from witnesses who reported at 12:32 a.m. Monday that a vehicle “slid off the roadway and struck a curb and fence” before ending up on its side on the lawn in front of the former Lange & Lenge floral shop at 214 Park Rd.

The vehicle was a 2005 Jeep Liberty, Rose said.

Police believe that the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle, and have tried to trace the person to whom the car is registered, but that individual has not yet been found.

Anyone with information should contact West Hartford Police at 860-523-5203.
