West Hartford Police Seeking Suspect in Armed Robbery of Credit Union

West Hartford Police responded to an armed robbery at the American Eagle Financial Credit Union branch on New Britain Avenue on Wednesday morning.

An armed robbery occurred Wednesday morning at the American Eagle Financial Credit Union at 1245 New Britain Avenue in West Hartford on Wednesday morning, and police are searching for the suspect.

The incident was reported at 11:31 a.m.

According to Assistant Chief Larry Terra there were no injuries, and there is “no threat to the public.”

Police did not provide a description of the suspect or indicate any further details as the case is active and in the early stages of investigation.

West Hartford Police Patrol and Detective Division personnel remain on the scene, and this American Eagle Financial Credit Union branch office will be closed for the remainder of the day.

“Customers are urged to check the American Eagle Bank Financial Credit Union website for other locations available to conduct their banking,” police said.
