West Hartford Police: Vandalism at Northwest Catholic Included Racial Slur

West Hartford Police said vandalism to Northwest Catholic High School athletic fields was discovered on Sunday.

West Hartford Police are investigating an incident of vandalism at the Northwest Catholic High School athletic fields that included a racial slur, Capt. Aaron Vafiades said Monday morning.

Police said they responded to the incident at 4:15 p.m. Sunday on a report of damage in the area of the track. They discovered damage to the track and soccer nets.

“The damage included a racial slur on the ground in the dirt and a racial slur spray painted on property,” Vafiades said. Police did not provide any further details about the nature of the slur.
