The Town of West Hartford issued an alert to residents regarding strong winds expected on Friday, Dec. 19.

A cold front is forecast for early Friday morning with strong southerly winds at 50 mph and wind gusts exceeding that across much of the state. Localized power outages are possible. Residents are urged to secure any outdoor holiday decorations or loose items that could be blown away by the wind.
