West Hartford Residents To Perform in ‘Beauty and the Beast Jr.’ at JCC

The Mandell JCC’s Youth Theater Program will present ‘Beauty and the Beast Jr.’ in West Hartford this March.

The Mandell JCC’s Youth Theater Program will perform a tale old as time, Beauty and the Beast, Jr., Saturday, March 12 and Thursday, March 17 at 7 p.m. with two Sunday performances, March 13 and 20 at 2 p.m., at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Ave., West Hartford, CT.

The production is under the direction of Carolyn Mostel Weiser with musical direction by Robert Tomasulo.

Step into an enchanted world where Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, meets the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Beauty and the Beast, Jr. features a double cast and stars Sadie Margolis and Liv Drazen (Belle), Eli Kabakoff (The Beast), Charlie Uthgenannt (Gaston), Stephanie Reuning-Scherer and Lucia Katz (Lumiere), Sarah DeSanto and Nathaniel Aronson (Cogsworth), Kitana Park and Sydney Gregg (Mrs. Potts), Marley Brown and Ilana Brown (Chip), Nyssa Park and Sophie Tulchinsky (Babette), Victoria Boustani (Madame de la Grande Bouche), Jake Ludgin and Sal Katz (Lefou), Maxx Smith-Rapaport and Dov Geoghegan (Maurice), and Shoshana Levy (Madame D’Arque). The cast also features Abby Azia, Sari Eisen, Emily Lemkuil, and Veronica Safryn (Silly Girls), along with Samantha Azia, Samantha Epstein, Sofia Figueroa, Eliana Goldberg, Davyn Gottfried, Mollie Hall, Allie Keith, Danielle Kursman, Baylee Krulewitz, Noah Lerner, Owen Ludgin, Katherine Lurie, Summer Neiditz, Dara Sadinsky, Rachel Siegel, Alex Steinberg, Alyssa Temkin, and Gracie Winokur as featured soloists. The ensemble includes Ysabel Albert, Isabel Brown, Tessa Brown, Katie Chaletsky, Scarlet Cistulli, Annie DeSanto, Henry Frank, Talia Geoghegan, Francesca Giordano, Ella Godel, Ellie Goldstein, Mira Goldstein, Sahar Grupper, Shoham Grupper, Raviv Harel-Silberman, Jane Hoberman, Helena House, Britt Housum, Lucy Kabakoff, Audrey Karasik, Nina Kluskiewicz, Sophie Kudler, Jordan Lang, Julie Levy, Maya Patt, Abigail Sadinsky, Caroline Saulsbury, Ari Schuyler, Madeline Shani, Quinn Smith, Ella Stiles, Lily Temkin, Ava Tringali, and Leah Zirolli.
