The West Hartford Substance Abuse Prevention Commission is seeking new members to be appointed by the Town Council.

The commission’s mandate is to advise the town council on ways that it may help address the problem of substance abuse in the entire West Hartford population.  The commission generally meets on the second Thursday of every month from 5-6:30 pm at Town Hall.

We are looking for diverse representation to bring together the many essential perspectives and expertise that can help us collaborate to effectively address this serious issue. We need representation from the PTOs, students, school counselors, substance abuse counselors as well as other key perspectives such as medical professionals, clergy, media, etc.

If you are interested in volunteering your name to be considered, please contact the Joanna Curry-Sartori at the Bridge Family Center, [email protected], 860 313 1119 ext 109.

Deadline: All names for consideration must be submitted by Oct. 19, 2016.
