West Hartford Swimmers Excel at Invitational Meet

Conard, Hall, Glastonbury, Southington, Amity, and Branford girls met in an Invitational swim meet Saturday, Oct. 2 at Cornerstone Aquatics Center.

Among the top performers at an invitational swim meet held Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 at Cornerstone Aquatics Center in West Hartford were Hall’s Jacqui Fox – a winner in the 50 and 100 backstroke and a fourth place finisher in the 100 freestyle.

Other top performances by the Hall simmers include Meghan Tiernan with a pair of third place finishes in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke, and Kali Dominguez, who was fourth in the 100-yard Butterfly and sixth in the 50-yard Butterfly

Conard’s Liv Sherry won the 100 Breaststroke and came in fifth in the 50-yard Butterfly while her sister, Tess Sherry, was second in the 100 Breastroke and 10th in the 50-yard Freestyle.

Conard’s Sophia Lynch came in ninth in the 50-yard Freestyle.

    The title picture has a caption “Conard’s Liv Sherry won the 100 Breaststroke.” but the swimmer is swimming Butterfly, not Breaststroke. Perhaps a mixup on the picture or swimmer.
