West Hartford Symphony to Hold ‘Spring Classical Favorites’ Concert

The West Hartford Symphony Orchestra will present its Spring Classical Concert on Palm Sunday, March 29, 2026.

The WHSO will hold its annual Spring Classical Concert at Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford on Sunday afternoon, March 29, at 3 p.m.
The featured performer will be Zhanna Alkhazova singing Giuseppe Verdi’s famous “Va Pensiero,” from his opera Nabucco. The entire first half of the concert will feature Howard Hanson’s Symphony No. 2 (Romantic).
The second half opens with Jean Sibelius’ beloved “Finlandia.” The program will close with Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakoff’s “Procession of the Nobles” from his opera Mlada.
Doors open at 2:30 p.m. with general tickets at $20 and senior/student tickets at $15. Children under 12 are free. Tickets can be purchased online at whso.org, reserved by calling 860-521-4362, or at the ticket table in the lobby before the performance.
