West Hartford Women in Networking to Host Hartford Business Improvement District Director

Jordan Polon, executive director of the Hartford Business Improvement District, will address the West Hartford Women in Networking on Thursday, Aug. 30.

West Hartford Women in Networking (WWIN) invites interested area women to its August meeting. WWIN is an independent association of women from the business, community and not-for-profit worlds.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2918, from 7:30-9:15 a.m., at Chatfield/Brookdale, One Chatfield Dr., West Hartford, CT.
The mission of the Hartford Business Improvement District (HBID) is to bring about positive and lasting change by enhancing the economic vitality and quality of life within the District. Working collectively with the Mayor’s Office, Police Department, and Public Works Department, as well as the more than 100 property owners and other organizations within the District, the HBID will accomplish its mission through initiatives that create a safer, cleaner and more attractive environment for employees, residents and visitors to the District. Come and learn about their many initiatives and programs to enhance life in the capital city.
“Put the financial stuff aside and all of the challenges the administration is facing,” Polon said. “In terms of what I do here, the kinds of friends I’ve made … I couldn’t hope to live in a better place.”
The meeting will also include introductions, networking, and breakfast snacks. Bring business cards, brochures etc. New attendees are welcome and there is no membership fee. The meeting cost is $2 person.
