The West Hartford Women’s Chorale (WHWC) is launching its 22nd season by inviting new singers to attend two open rehearsals. As a non-audition ensemble, the Chorale welcomes all women interested in singing and discovering choral music, regardless of prior musical background.

WHWC performs an eclectic mix of music, ranging from classical works to traditional, seasonal, and contemporary selections. Each season features formal concerts as well as performances throughout the community.

The Chorale partners with other local nonprofits and provides annual scholarships to student musicians, enriching both its members and the larger community.

In the words of WHWC Artistic Director, Sue Chrzanowski, “There is something truly extraordinary about what we create together each week. … We bring to life texts that touch the heart – clutch the heart – and in doing so, we connect deeply with ourselves and each other.”

If you have always wanted to sing with others, consider the  WHWC. Open rehearsals for new singers will take place on Tuesdays, Sept. 9 and 16, from 7 to 8:45 p.m. at Temple Sinai, 41 West Hartford Rd., Newington.
