There will be an exhibit of work by 10 students in West Hartford Art League instructor Ilona Levitz’s Master Painting Class at the West Hartford Art League Clubhouse gallery, opening Sunday Oct. 16, from 2-4 p.m.

Most of the students have been taking classes with Ilona regularly over many years. Her teaching style encompasses the idea that: “Every artist has their own unique vision. The challenge is to strengthen the work without losing the original concept of the painter.”

The opening is free and open to the public.

Participating artists include: A.K. Baser, Kathleen Dal Santo, Gail Fine, Susan Gillie, Deborah Goodman, Ruth Jacobsen, Marion Letterman, William Prensky, Susan Thibodeau, and Sandy Welch.

Gallery hours are Thursday-Sunday from 1-4 p.m. The exhibit is open through Nov. 6. The Clubhouse Gallery is located at 37 Buena Vista Rd.
