On Nov. 9, 2014, the Rockledge Men’s Club held a special tournament at the Rockledge Golf Club in West Hartford to benefit the West Hartford Food Pantry. The event raised $1,400, which was recently presented to the Food Pantry by Tournament Co-Chairmen Jon Weiner and Steve Fisher, along with Rockledge Men’s Club President Ray Cusick, Past President Bob King, and Rockledge Head PGA Professional Rich Crowe.

Weiner said, “The tournament, our second annual Food Bank Fundraiser, far exceeded our expectations with the outstanding support from the Rockledge Men’s Club and Women’s Club. We’re especially thankful to Rich Crowe for donating the prizes for the tournament and lending us the support of his excellent staff. This year we gave a new challenge to our members asking for their support for non-perishable goods and they responded by completely stuffing a golf cart with a full carload of food.”
