Registration is now open for your kids to have Summer Vacation fun at Elmwood Community Center with one of our creative programs providing opportunity for recreation, arts, education and enrichment. Channel their energy and help them develop skills in something they’re passionate about, whether artistic, musical, inquisitive or physical; our offerings include classes, half-day or full-day camps.
Sign up the creative child for Arts and Crafts or Clay Scape Camp and they’ll make fabulous works of art you’ll treasure. We have an afternoon Cooking Camp for your little foodie; to build and design in a different medium our LEGO® programs will challenge them to new heights.
Shall we dance? Our instructors teach the fundamentals in Ballet, Tap and Hip Hop with sessions for ages 2-12; more physical exercise is offered in Fit Kids or Gymnastics Camp.

Sign up your strategic thinker and puzzle solver for Chess Camp so they can learn the game, develop strategies and play.
And for the performer in your house we offer Theatre Camp where your child can let out their inner “Drama Queen” or “King.” Theatre Camp includes a half day of theatre PLUS an afternoon elective from choices including dance, cooking and acting.

Elmwood Community Center is an active year-round multi-purpose facility for the Leisure Services Division of the town of West Hartford. Celebrating its 36th year of operation, ECC offers hundreds of leisure activities, instructional programs and special events, staffed by highly qualified instructors and experts in the fields of education, recreation and fitness. Elmwood Community Center is also a rental facility with a variety of specialized options including classrooms, meeting rooms and two kitchens, available to suit the needs of individuals, businesses and community organizations both large and small.
