‘American St. Nick’ Film Screening and Book Signing Coming to West Hartford

American Legion Post 96 will host the ‘American St. Nick – A True Story’ film screening and book signing at the West Hartford Library.

The American Legion Hayes-Velhage Post 96 will host a screening and book signing of “American St. Nick – A True Story” by multiple Emmy-award-winning Producer/Director/Journalist Peter Lion at the West Hartford Noah Webster Library, 20 South Main St., West Hartford, on Thursday, Dec. 15 at 6:30 pm.

“American St. Nick” is the true story of American soldiers who, during the darkest days of WWII bring Christmas back to the children of a small Luxembourg town, and in doing so, unknowingly create a holiday tradition that continues to this day.

Peter Lion’s book, an Amazon best seller, is the story behind the Emmy winning “American St. Nick” documentary film and was awarded Luxembourg’s highest military honor in July, “The Military Medal”.

American Legion Hayes-Velhage Post 96 extends an invitation to all to join them Dec. 15 to experience the join of “American St. Nick” during this holiday season.

With a current membership of 2.4-million wartime veterans, The American Legion was founded in 1919 on the four pillars of a strong national security, veterans affairs, Americanism, and youth programs. Legionnaires work for the betterment of their communities through more than 14,000 posts across the nation.

The American Legion of West Hartford is open to military veterans who have served honorably during a wartime era and military personnel currently on active duty.
