Author Anna Quindlen To Visit for ‘West Hartford Reads!’

Award-winning novelist and journalist Anna Quindlen will speak at a free event at West Hartford Town Hall on Oct. 19.

Author Anna Quindlen will visit West Hartford on Thursday, Oct. 19, at 7 p.m. for WEST HARTFORD READS! – an annual reading initiative encouraging everyone in town to read the works of one notable author.
Anna Quindlen will be at the West Hartford Town Hall (3rd Floor), 50 South Main St. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
Anna Quindlen is a novelist and journalist. While a columnist at the New York Times she won the Pulitzer Prize and published two collections, Living Out Loud and Thinking Out Loud. Her Newsweek columns were collected in Loud and Clear. She is the author of eight novels. Her memoir Lots of Candles, Plenty of Cake, published in 2012, was a number one New York Times bestseller. Her book A Short Guide to a Happy Life has sold more than a million copies.
Pre-event music begins at 6 p.m. with Duo Laroo/Byrd: Warren Byrd, pianist/vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Saskia Laroo.
This free hour-long program is made possible by the generous support of the West Hartford Public Library Foundation, Thomas F. Kilfoil Memorial Bequest. Books with be sold by Barnes & Noble West Hartford for autographing by Anna Quindlen after her talk.
