Murder, secrecy and suspense are all a part of the Mandell JCC’s 22nd Annual Jewish Book Festival event featuring author and investigative reporter, Hank Phillippi Ryan and her thriller, Truth Be Told. The second signature event takes place Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at 7 p.m at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT.

Truth Be Told, part of the bestselling Jane Ryland and Jake Brogan series, begins with tragedy: a middle-class family evicted from their suburban home. Reporter Ryland soon learns the truth behind a big-bucks scheme and the surprising players who will stop at nothing, including murder, to keep their goal a secret.

An investigative on-air reporter for NBC/Boston, Ryan has won 30 Emmys for her groundbreaking journalism and is the author of six best-selling thrillers. Chip Tafrate, Ph.D., author and Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Central Connecticut State University will moderate the evening.
