Ballet Theatre Company to Hold Cinderella-Themed ‘Rags to Riches’ Ball

The West Hartford-based Ballet Theatre Company will present ‘Cinderella’ this spring, and in advance will hold a ‘Rags to Riches’ to support youth outreach efforts.

In anticipation of Ballet Theatre Company’s upcoming Spring production of Cinderella, which will debut at the University of Saint Joseph on May 5-6, the company invites you on Friday, April 20, from 7-9:30 p.m. to the Rags to Riches, Cinderella Ball supporting Ballet Theatre Company’s Community Youth Outreach.

The event will take place in the enchanting atrium at Hartford City Hall, located at 515 Main St., Hartford, CT 06103.

Come dressed to impress in your favorite semi formal attire; this event promises to be fun for the entire family! ​

Guests will enjoy a variety of appetizers provided by restaurants such as Russell’s Creative Global Cuisine and Salute, desserts provided by Classic Cakes and Cake Gypsy, refreshments, and several options for fun and entertainment.

Children will have an opportunity to meet with and greet Cinderella in her magical carriage, and take part in Cinderella-related crafts at the Kid’s Activity table. Adults will have an opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine, or a beer provided by Hog River Brewing at a cash bar, and of course there will be a chance for all to dance with a live DJ and additional contests!

Guests will also have the opportunity to bid on amazing items for all ages at the silent auction, including a chance to be BTC’s Artistic Director for the day, an American Girl Doll, Great Lodge Water Park tickets, date night packages, and much more!

All proceeds from this event will support Ballet Theatre Company’s Community Youth Outreach program that each year provides dance opportunities to over 1,500 underserved kids in the Greater Hartford area.
