Ballet Theatre Company (BTC) is celebrating their 20th Anniversary this 2018-2019 season with a Master Class Series consisting of 20 intermediate and advanced level classes taught by professionals from all over the country. The series will kick off on Thursday, Sept. 6 with classes open to the public for aspiring dancers ages 9 and up at BTC’s studio location, 20 Jefferson Ave., West Hartford.

Throughout this triumphant 20th Anniversary season, BTC is celebrating by hosting 20 world renowned professional dancers and teachers. These masters, all from diverse dance backgrounds, will travel to West Hartford to share their talents and experiences with local dancers. Most of these professionals have performed in popular shows on Broadway or are currently performing with prestigious professional Ballet and Contemporary companies. Class fees are $40 for non-enrolled BTC dancers and $30 for enrolled BTC dancers.

The first of the Master Class Series, held on Thursday, Sept. 6, will welcome Kirsten Evans, a principal dancer with Festival Ballet Providence who also starred in BTC’s most recent production of Cinderella as Cinderella. Evans will teach two levels of ballet technique classes; an intermediate level class from 6-7:30 p.m. followed by an advanced level class from 7:30-9 p.m. Visit www.dancebtc.org for more information and to register as space is limited.

BTC’s next Master Class Series guest teacher will be Rachel Richardson from American Ballet Theatre. Richardson will be teaching two levels of classes on Sunday, Sept. 16. Be sure to stay up to date with announcements on future guest teachers, registration, and more via BTC’s Facebook page, Instagram @dancebtc.org, and website.
