Following its yearly tradition, Boy Scout Troop 146 concluded its Scouting year with a day at Winding Trails and a potluck dinner for Scouts and family.
Rank, merit badge and individual awards were given to recognize the many achievements of this year’s group. Members of the troop practiced their canoeing skills on the Farmington River the following morning on a trip from Farmington to Simsbury.
Many of the Scouts will be participating in Scout Camp this summer, and the Troop looks forward to another strong year starting this fall.
Troop 146 has been an active troop for over 50 years and participates in outdoor, community service and leadership activities, including “High Adventure” trips to New Mexico and Florida.
The Troop meets at the West Hartford United Methodist Church, located at 1358 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. For more information, see our website: www.whtroop146.com.
