The Bridge Family Center is offering a unique summer program for children entering kindergarten this fall in West Hartford schools. The four-week program runs from June 24-July 19 at the air conditioned Family Resource Center at Charter Oak International Academy.

The program’s curriculum introduces children to the skills they will need for school success. In addition to working on social, literacy, and math skills, participants will have fun with crafts, cooking, songs, stories, and outdoor play. Each week a teacher from the New Old School of Music will join the program for a music class, and children’s author Rick Labadia will visit with books and creative writing projects.

Morning classes meet from 9-11:30 a.m. and afternoon class from 12:15-2:45 p.m. Tuition is $80. A snack is included every day. Transportation is not provided. Please call the Family Resource Center at 860-929-5575 to register. Space is limited.
