When the owners of Zaytoon’s Bistro arrived at their 165 Park Rd. restaurant on Wednesday morning just before 10 a.m., they noticed something that prompted a call to West Hartford Police.

Police said they confi what the restaurant owners thought had happened: the front of the building had been struck by bullets.

There were bullet holes in the plate glass window, but no one was injured, police said.

Lt. Eric Rocheleau said that earlier in the day, at 3:45 a.m., police had received a 911 text that originated from a side street off Park Road regarding shots that had been fired about 35 minutes prior to that. Officers responded but did not find anything, Rocheleau said.

When officers investigated the damage at Zaytoon’s, bullet casings were discovered, police said.

“Detectives processed the scene and are working with the Park Road Businesses Association and area business to develop leads and video from the incident. If the public has any information please call the West Hartford Police department’s routine line at 860-523-5203, Rocheleau said.
