CitySingers of Hartford and area musicians will ring in this holiday season with a program of Resounding Joy! – a musical celebration featuring traditional carols and choral motets from around the globe. Come hear favorite seasonal music in arrangements for voices and small orchestra which includes harp, organ, woodwinds, percussion and a unique instrument of over twenty suspended handbells to add to the musical palette.

These performances welcome audiences of all ages to see and hear a mix of festive music from different style periods and cultures including favorites such as Ding Dong Merrily on High, the renaissance motet Resonet in Laudibus and the high-spirited Bell Carol. In addition, an invitation to participate in singing well-loved carols is sure to fill our audiences with resounding joy!

West Hartford performances will be held on Sunday, Dec. 14, at 4 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 20, at 4 p.m. at First Church of Christ, 12 South Main St., West Hartford, CT. Phone: 860-233-9605.

There is no charge for admission but there will be a voluntary offering.
