Congregation Beth Israel will host “Celebrate CBI,” a community-wide open house, on Thursday, Aug. 31, at 6 p.m.

“Celebrate CBI” provides an opportunity to socialize, meet and connect with clergy, learn about educational programs, tour the facility and discover additional opportunities for engagement at Congregation Beth Israel. The event is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to enjoy BBQ, music, professional face-painting, games, and more.

Congregation Beth Israel is a Reform Jewish synagogue of about 700 families, tracing its history to 1843, when Jews were first given the legal right to establish a synagogue in the state of Connecticut. Today, Congregation Beth Israel is a welcoming community where people of all ages and backgrounds can deepen their spirituality and engagement through prayer, celebration, learning, and efforts to repair the world.

Congregation Beth Israel is located at 701 Farmington Ave. in West Hartford and “Celebrate CBI” is held in the back parking lot. For more information about “Celebrate CBI” and Congregation Beth Israel, visit www.cbict.org, call 860-233-8215 or email [email protected].
