Two sets of West Hartford twins have banded together to hold a blood drive in honor of one of the teens who is being treated for a blood cancer.

A blood drive will be held July 5 at West Hartford Town Hall in honor of an 18-year-old resident who is being treated for lymphoblastic lymphoma, a blood cancer.
Seamus Turco has received multiple blood transfusions as part of his treatment plan since his diagnosis in December 2014. According to his mother Helen Rubino-Turco, Seamus is doing well, but has 10 more months of chemotherapy.
Seamus and his twin brother Gabe – and their close friends Abby and Kate Gosselin – are hosting this blood drive to ensure that blood is available for patients like Seamus as well as to meet other needs during the summer months when those who donate regularly may be traveling and schools and other organizations that regularly host blood drives may also be on hiatus.
As twins, these recent Conard High School graduates encourage all donors to bring a “twin” (who can be a sibling, other relative, or friend) with them to donate blood in honor of Seamus.
The blood drive will run from 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. Sign up for donation by clicking on the following link: http://www.redcrossblood.org/
