West Hartford Police have not yet been able to locate or identify the driver of a vehicle that was found unoccupied with extensive front end damage following a crash into a utility pole early Sunday morning.

Capt. Michael Perruccio said the call was received at 4:48 a.m. on March 28, and when officers arrived they found the empty vehicle in front of 570 South Main St. The utility pole was broken and wires were knocked down, he said.

Perruccio said police are still investigating the incident to determine who was driving the vehicle, and if there were any injuries.

South Main Street was closed for several hours while the utility pole was being replaced.

Anyone with details should contact West Hartford Police at 860-523-5203.
