Facebook Live Forum Features West Hartford Superintendent, Board of Education Chair

West Hartford Superintendent of Schools Tom Moore and Board of Education Chair Deb Polun provided updates and responded to viewer questions during a We-Ha.com Facebook Live forum Thursday night, April 16.

The discussion was moderated by We-Ha.com Managing Editor Ronni Newton and John Lyons, and topics included the decision to close schools as the COVID-19 pandemic approached, the development and progress of distance learning, high school grading and graduation, and how education overall may be impacted.

Moore and Polun also discussed the Board of Education’s 2020-21 budget, which is being reexamined amid the COVID-19 crisis. A virtual public hearing will be held on April 21, and the budget vote is scheduled for April 28.
