Gas Station Robbed, West Hartford Police Seek Armed Suspect

West Hartford Police report that a gas station clerk was robbed at knifepoint early Tuesday morning, and are asking the public’s help in identifying the suspect.

A clerk at the Shell gas station at 905 Farmington Ave. in West Hartford was robbed at knifepoint at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, and police said the suspect is still at large.

According to police, the clerk reported that he had been threatened with a knife. The suspect fled with the cash drawer and the clerk immediately contacted police, who were unable to locate the suspect.

The clerk sustained a minor injury, described by police as bruising to his neck.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male wearing a blue hooded jacket. The jacket was shiny, lightweight, and thigh length, police said in the description they released. The suspect was also wearing black gloves with a white design on the band, black pants, black sneakers, and a dark-colored ski mask that had a white design on it.

The suspect was armed with a hunting or long folding knife, police said.
