The Golden Thread Gallery is pleased to present the latest exhibition, “Tree of Life,” with an Artist Closing Reception scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. This event is free and the public is cordially invited to attend.

Tree of Life is the first exhibit in the Golden Thread Gallery’s third season. Tree of Life includes a diverse selection of work from 18 artists from all different backgrounds each giving their own perspective on this theme. Work includes oil, pastel, acrylic, photography and sculpture. The Golden Thread Gallery is pleased to include ELM BENCH, a 15 foot bench created by City Bench and fabricated from the largest American elms in Connecticut, which had to be brought down in the fall of 2009 after becoming a hazard in its location.

This season the gallery is inviting all poets to be inspired by the art at The Golden Thread Gallery and create poetry in response to the art. All ages and groups are welcome to come and be inspired and share your work with the gallery. All poems will be included in a catalog that will be displayed with the exhibit and two poets will be chosen to read their work at the closing event.
