Hall High School senior captain Tommy Nash scored in the first half of a CIAC Class LL semifinal match-up against Fairfield Ludlowe on Wednesday night, and that goal, assisted by fellow senior captain Gabe Sisk, proved to be the game-winning goal.

When the final buzzer sounded at Waterbury Municipal Stadium, Hall was the 1-0 winner, and will return to the state finals for the fourth time in the past five years.

The No. 5 seed Titans will meet No. 14 seed Stamford High School, which defeated No. 2 seed Greenwich 3-0 to earn a berth in the state finals for the first time since 1949

Hall won the Class LL title in 2019 with a 3-1 victory over Greenwich, but the Cardinals beat Hall in 2022 in an intense contest decided on penalty kicks.

The finals will be held at Trinity Health Stadium in Hartford on Saturday, Nov. 18, beginning at 6:15 p.m.
