The team had posters set up around the stadium, allowing fans to donate money in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Hall’s unity and their message of acknowledgement, love, and support made this win very meaningful.

The first quarter started strong and fast-paced as both teams fought hard for the first goal. Ultimately, Hall senior Katie Cykley (#27)  won the first two goals of the game, and gave the team momentum into the second quarter.

Throughout the second quarter, both teams showed great perseverance through the back-and-forth of the fall across the field. Emily Stein (#11), a junior at Hall, secured the next goal off of an exciting corner play, assisted by Katie Cykley (#27).

However, after this Farmington was able to score twice, by Brooke Watson (#14), and Avery Ranucci (#5).

“We picked our heads back up and continued to fight and got those extra goals in,” said Hall head coach Ellie Tate regarding Farmington’s double goal.

Going into the third quarter, Hall may have been losing the lead they had gained early on, but as Coach Tate said, they persevered. Hall sophomore Emily Leahy (#17) scored, assisted by sophomore Abby Pesce (#4), marking Hall’s return to the scoreboard.
