The Hartford Breakthrough North Elementary Magnet School serving Pre-K through eighth grader received more than 162 gently used and new costumes from Hall High Senior Katja Thomalla this past week.

The project was inspired when Tomolla realized some children forgo costumes at Halloween for many reasons and this Hall High Senior wanted to make a difference in their lives.

“It was a personal call to action for me to know I could help children have fun and enjoy Halloween with their friends.” said Thomalla.

With the help of the West Hartford Hall High community and her mother, Thomalla collected these costumes with many friends and families dropping them off directly at her house.
