The historic Hartford Tennis Club will welcome some of the nation’s finest senior tennis players for the Walter Rapp-Shirley Fry Senior Men’s & Women’s Singles & Doubles Jubilee, taking place Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26 on the club’s renowned green clay courts.

This special tournament celebrates the extraordinary legacies of two icons of the sport – Walter Rapp and Shirley Fry Irvin – whose contributions to tennis continue to inspire generations of players.

A Level 4 USTA Tournament, the Jubilee will feature more than 70 top senior competitors, ages 50 and over, competing in both singles and doubles events. Players and spectators alike can expect four days of outstanding tennis, sportsmanship, and camaraderie, all set against the unique, serene backdrop of Hartford Tennis Club.

Adding to the excitement this year is the debut of a remarkable 90+ age division, highlighting the enduring passion, athleticism, and competitive spirit that define senior tennis.

“We invite everyone to come celebrate a legacy of excellence,” said tournament organizers. “This event honors two legends of the game while showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of senior players who continue to compete at the highest level.”
